6/2/23

Hey. It’s raining in Queens and already much too hot for me.

I have a few posts in the works but you may or may not notice a little slow down in content. I am working on novel no. 4, and my writing time, my free time overall really, is limited. I’m making this manuscript my focus. The priority. The novel is still in an infant stage but I’m crossing the 15,000 word mark, only another 70,000 to go, in the least. I’m preoccupied with word counts. My last book was deemed too short by a literary agent, the same agent who said the previous novel was too long. Novel no. 3, All Guests Must Be Announced, is no shorter than the length of Fight Club but I’m not Chuck P.

This is my doomsday novel, most of the book is mapped out, it just needs some love and attention, a little watering to help make it grow. I will say I’m enjoying the process.

The first three books I wrote are available here, for free I might add, if you felt inclined to give them a read. The only thing I ask is that if you genuinely enjoy any of them, you share them with someone you think might also enjoy it. Tell all your friends.

Anyway. I just put on Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom for my kids and no one cared about it all. Not one bit and I’m taking it personal. I’m thinking of ripping their cute little beating hearts out. Kali ma…Kali ma…Kali ma, shakthi deh! Set in India, although filmed on location in Sri Lanka, I informed my kids that my wife, their goddess of a mother had gone to India four times when she worked in fashion, before I ruined her life. Again, no real interest from them, but now I want lamb vindaloo and saag paneer, and some samosas. Maybe tomorrow. Oh, and The Last Crusade is my favorite and that is where the franchise dies for me. It’s a trilogy and I’ll have none of those other films.

Have a wonderful weekend.

  3. Sorry I didnโ€™t realize the original comment posted .

I have to agree that the last crusade is the best , beating raiders by a hair.

Connery puts it over the top for me. And funny e ouch itโ€™s the only one I didnโ€™t see in the theaters

    1. Crusade was the only one I saw in a theater. My preference goes in reverse chronological order but theyโ€™re all rad.

  4. It sounds like you have your priorities straight, Sean. I do want to read your novels, and I think you have to do what you have to do to get the next one done. Happy writing.

  5. I feel Temple may be a bit long in the act 2/3 area for kids. Last crusade is by far the best! No story is too long/short when it’s good! F’ the haters. All your books are great!
